The Client: Olton Bedrooms
Olton Bedrooms is a bespoke furniture fitter based in Solihull, building and fitting luxury made-to-measure home storage across the local area.
They came to Bearhat looking for social media support initially, but we quickly saw the bigger picture – that more value would be had by focussing in other areas. Like many trades and home improvement businesses, their challenge wasn’t content. It was conversion.
The Challenge
The existing website (built in Squarespace) wasn’t working for them. Traffic was low, form fills were low. Visitors were bouncing off fast. And worst of all – it didn’t clearly explain what the business is or what they do, making it very difficult for a visitor to understand where they would see value. Typically, a website visitor needs to understand what they are seeing in 7 seconds or less – or they bounce.
Therefore, before we could think about driving traffic through social, we had to fix the foundation. That meant improving the site structure, clarifying the message, and making sure every visit counted with the best chance of conversion.

The Results (First 10 Days)
In the first 10 days alone after getting stuck into making strategic user experience website updates in the CMS, we saw some incredible results including:

- Page views ↑ 92%+

We continued to see strong result for the rest of month 1 and made further small optimisations on the way.

Phase Two: SEO for Trades & Local Visibility
Once the website was performing, Bearhat focused on local SEO. Our goal was not only to optimise the website for SEO, but help Olton Bedrooms rank for non-brand terms, so they were getting in front of those who were still deciding on who they wanted their fitted furniture supplier to be.
We:
- Conducted keyword research to align with real customer search intent
- Updated meta titles and descriptions in line with the keyword strategy
- Tagged and optimised all images
Results:
- Page views increased by another 6%
- Bounce rate continued to drop by 9%
- Form submissions increased by a further 25%
The traffic was lower in volume – but higher in quality. Visitors were staying longer, exploring more, and taking action.
